Hi yall! The work is going! This is the best work in the world. Delis is ready for her baptism on the 28th.  I'm still in the beautiful trio with Hermana Henderson and Hermana Martinez.  We recently went to the temple and Hermana Martinez started her family history work and I love family history! You feel so connected to who you are and the blessings you have in life.  I've been trying my best to journal each day so I actually know what to put in there haha!  Highlight Reel:  -Sister Martinez tripped -We live right next to a cemetery and Hna Martinez hates hates hates them, especially the spirits 👻👽 so sometimes we say "Espíritus, Espíritus, Hna Martinez está aquuuiiiiii". Which basically means "Spirits, Spirits, Sister Martines is here". She always will respond saying "shut the heck up" in her adorable Dominican accent. Witchcraft is pretty common in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 so... watch out.  -We were in a lesson with Nancy and we were teach...

Hi friends :)) I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter! I apologize sincerely for being very bad at writing emails every week. But repentence is REAL!  So lets get into it!  I really wanted to write this email to point out some miracles!  1. Juan Antonio, who we started teaching in January then stopped teaching because we thought he Blocked us...CAME TO CHURCH! OUT OF THE BLUE! LIKE WE THOUGHT HE HATED US! So apparently his phone got stolen and he has just had some prerty hard times going through a divorce and dealing with the loss of His dad, while also dealing with depression. But he came to church and just told us he wants to be baptized. Like what!? We remember the first time teaching him and knowing that he would get baptized. Wow!! 2. An inactive young adult just came to church! No one had reached out, but he was in our prayers. He came all by himself, without his dad. Wow!  3. We had Zone Conference and President Kotter talked about our divine worth, ...

The Best Work in the World

Hi friends,  I hope all is well with yall. Okay so... where to start.  RIGOBERTO GOT BAPTIZED LAST SUNDAY AND RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST YESTERDAY!!!!  It was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever been apart of. Rigoberto was studying to be a Catholic priest, but he realized it wasn't God's true church so he sought out the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He came specifically to Utah for that reason. He told us that ever since he started coming to church he could feel the spirit, and whenever we are around He feels it too.  We were so blessed to teach him. I asked him to sign my Spanish Bible and he helped me find his favorite scriptures in there. He then asked us to sign his and his hymn book.  His family is still stuck in Venezuela but keep them in your prayers, hopefully Rigo will be united with his family once again!  We are also teaching Delis and everytime we teach her something new she says "wow I didn't know that...

Insane Week

Hi friends, How's it going? Let me tell you how crazy these past 2 weeks have been.  A ton of Emergency Transfers happened (which basically means a lot of people got moved around to different places)  So me and my companion had to move apartments in about 3 hours on a Friday.  We got a bunch of new people in our district. And a new district leader Elder Shults. He was in English for about 19 months and in the last 5 months they moved him to Spanish. He is a good man. He gave me a blessing this week and it was so inspired. He literally glows with the countenance of Christ.  Okay and then more changes. About 3 nights about our Mission President had a zoom call and told us he was changing up zones. There is no longer English and Spanish zones. We are now mixed. So we got a NEW district. Again. And a new District leader. He isn't my favorite... but it's okay :)) We also had some pretty cool milagros this week We knocked on someone's doors and shared a short me...

Mis queridos amigos, This week was heckin crazy lemme tell you: First of all we are in a walking area, so it takes about 20 min minutes to get to anywhere we need to go. Except when you are teaching a family outside of your area. Which is AN HOUR AWAY! We asked like 10 people from our ward to drive us and everyone was so so busy. My favorite excuse came from an 80 year old man who said "sorry sisters, we will be grocery shopping at that time"... ah to be 80.  We get to her house and she tells us how she doesn't like our religion because we dont worship idols. Typical... But we have a massive MILAGRO! We have been trying to get into contact with Gino for the past 6 weeks, and we just haven't been able to. But yesterday we did, and he wants to be baptized. He is also feeding us Peruvian food Wednesday, I am so excited because Zach keeps raving about it. We also saw Ducks this week and that made me really happy  Spiritual Thought:  Israel in Hebrew means Let God Preva...

New Area, New Trials

Hey Folks,  Well this week has been amazing. We saw some Goats, tried a lot of new Restaurants, starting teaching some people in this area, and did a ton of walking  The hardest part about this area is we don't have any bikes or a car. So we are just walking everywhere. Sometimes it feels like we are wasting time because we spend at least 45 minutes everynight walking. But it feels so great to move my body again, so I am honestly not complaining.  Also because we both are new to this area we are contacting tons of people, and trying to knock tons of doors to see if they are still interested. Most of them are, but none of them truly seem super ready to jump into the waters of baptism.  Conversion is definitely a process.  Also I am in quarantine. Again. We both have the booster, but have been exposed and are trying to keep others safe. Thankfully I am quarantined with someone with the exact same sense of humor as me. So it is simply a bunch of potty jokes,...
