Insane Week
Hi friends,
How's it going?
Let me tell you how crazy these past 2 weeks have been.
A ton of Emergency Transfers happened (which basically means a lot of people got moved around to different places)
So me and my companion had to move apartments in about 3 hours on a Friday.
We got a bunch of new people in our district. And a new district leader Elder Shults. He was in English for about 19 months and in the last 5 months they moved him to Spanish. He is a good man. He gave me a blessing this week and it was so inspired. He literally glows with the countenance of Christ.
Okay and then more changes. About 3 nights about our Mission President had a zoom call and told us he was changing up zones. There is no longer English and Spanish zones. We are now mixed. So we got a NEW district. Again. And a new District leader. He isn't my favorite... but it's okay :))
We also had some pretty cool milagros this week
We knocked on someone's doors and shared a short message about the Book of Mormon. She told us she had a bad week and was praying to see God's hand, and then we knocked on her door :))
We knocked on someone else's door, she let us in, and told us that she had been praying for a Book and to know if the church's she had been seeing in Utah everywhere, was God's church. Wow.
We started teaching someone named Rigoberto and when we told him about the First Vision he said that he knew it was true, and he knew the Book of Mormon was true too. We are gonna to invite him to be baptized this week.
We are also teaching someone named Gino, his wife and Mother and Law are members and he is also really ready to be Baptized. So we are inviting him to jump in those waters this week as well.
And we are teaching someone named Luis Angel, who has been ready for baptism for a while, but him and his wife couldn't get married. Because her divorce in Mexico hasn't finalized yet. But this week she told us the divorce is finished, and they are going to get married really soon. When we figure all the logistics out, he will be baptized too :))
Some funny/weird moments:
-Go carting and Laser tag
-my companion is lactose intolerant, or as I like to say... allergic to cows. And so the house always always smells like farts because of her
-Elder Allen was swinging on a rope to jump into the foam pit, and landed face first. It took him a minute to wiggle his way out.
-there is a giant chicken
-a dog sometimes randomly comes into our living space
-we were in the middle of a lesson and other missionaries knocked on the door
-I taught a child the plan of Salvation because she told me she didn't believe in demons
Spiritual thought:
This is an invite you to learn spiritual thought :))
I invite you to do one of these things:
Read about Dusty Smith and His conversion story, to going Anti-Mormon, to going the church again.
Read Alma 7:11-12 or Moroni 7:41-42
Pray to God sincerely, and talk about your desires, your struggles, and your happy moments.
Life is hard, and there is a lot of crazy stuff going on in the world. I simply invite you to find peace. In whatever way you see fit.
In John 14:27, christ promises us peace. This is peace we can feel right now.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
I love yall so much, tenga bonita semana :))
