The past 2 weeks




 

OH MY GOOOOOODNESSSSS!!!! The past 2 weeks have been insane! I've been at the MTC for 1 week lemme tell you what I learned

-1 week feels like 1 month
-Christ never leaves us
- The Food sucks but the cereal is really good
- A member of the seventy came and talked to us about how to be the most effective, driven missionary
- And Spanish is really hard 

Y'all the gift of tongues is real (el don de lenguas) I can say a prayer in Spanish (kind of) and bear my testimony.... but everyone here is super kind. My district is absolutely amazing. I've had pretty difficult days and they never left my side, they were kind and attentive to my needs. The acts of service these missionaries performed for me are indescribable and I am so grateful for each of them.
Hermana Nase y Yo, get to try to teach a lesson in Spanish this Friday. We really have no free time here at the MTC so trying to find time for 3 hours of study plus an hour of exercise is muy dificil. 


Anyway that is about all that I can think of at the moment, sorry for the lack of information
Please never forget that you are not forgotten, you are not alone. Jesus Christ understands you. He is the only person to ever fully know exactly what you are going through. And I promise if you turn to him, and grow your faith, you will see his love for you. The easiest thing we can do is pray. All we have to do is speak to God, that is it. We don't have to have a perfect faith, or know everything in store, we just need to talk. And he listens, he will answer. The answer might come as a thought, it might come from a scripture, or simply just a feeling. But he will answer you. 
As I mentioned earlier this week was hard for me, and so I turned to my Heavenly Father and told him everything I was feeling, I was granted instant peace. My problems did not go away, but I got to experience Joy in a moment of sadness.
We are not promised that we won't have problems, in fact, we are guaranteed we will have them. If you look anywhere from the Old Testament to the Book of Mormon, you will learn that some of the greatest, most obedient people were granted trials. But these trials make us better. They humble us to turn to Christ in every thought. And they allow us to grow. Our problems will not go away. But we can have peace and hope and guidance in the midst of them.

  The food at the MTC always sucks. BUUUUTTTT PIZZA FRIDAY IS THE BEST annnnnnnnnnd general conference was amazing.... if you didn't watch it you should!!! This week was a lil tiny eensy bit hard. But we all have hard times. It is okay to not be okay all of the time, it is okay to struggle.  But I have learned that God sees something in us we don't see. I have no idea how to speak Spanish or why he needs me to speak it in Utah. But He knows my true purpose more than I ever will. Some days I feel like I totally got it, and others I feel like I am a complete failure. The struggle makes you human. And we don't have to struggle alone. I can promise you, that as you rely on Jesus Christ your burdens will be lightened. They won't go away, but they will be bearable. I know that God hears our prayers. I know that he never leaves us. 4th Transfer

  Mis queridos amigos, This week was heckin crazy lemme tell you: First of all we are in a walking area, so it takes about 20 min minutes to get to anywhere we need to go. Except when you are teaching a family outside of your area. Which is AN HOUR AWAY! We asked like 10 people from our ward to drive us and everyone was so so busy. My favorite excuse came from an 80 year old man who said "sorry sisters, we will be grocery shopping at that time"... ah to be 80.  We get to her house and she tells us how she doesn't like our religion because we dont worship idols. Typical... But we have a massive MILAGRO! We have been trying to get into contact with Gino for the past 6 weeks, and we just haven't been able to. But yesterday we did, and he wants to be baptized. He is also feeding us Peruvian food Wednesday, I am so excited because Zach keeps raving about it.
