Hey friends :)  I got the booster shot on Friday. And we also got our car taken away on Friday too. Why? Oh becauseeeeee someone hurt their arm, soooo now we just walk everywhere. It takes about an hour to walk home.  Anyway so I got the booster shot and DIED on Saturday. But i kept going! We watched Luz de las Naciones. And oh my it is so beautiful. If you want to watch latino culture, look it up. It is amazing!  I also gave my first talk in Spanish... was it horrible?? Tal vez... pero esta bien :) the spirit was there and that is all that matters We are teaching a Columbian lady who lives with 2 Germans people. I honestly have no idea how they communicate... anyway. I have met a ton of people here who are married and don't speak the other persons language. So they live off google Translate. I have also met 3 british people, so it is crazy here.  This week I have been focusing a lot on being outwardly grateful. And giving thanks for each things that I have, a...

Soooo I never know where to start...  We went to a Venezuelan restaurant. That was awesome. I got a hoodie that said "Are you YETI for Christmas?"  It makes me very very happy. We are teaching a lot of people. Most of the Latinos I have met have seen a vision or an angel. It is insane.  Most of the people here are from Venezuela. It is crazyyyyy there. We learned that if you didn't get this certain shot, you would SHOT. mhm. And it is so hard to get clean water. These are some of the humbliest people I have ever met. They are trying to learn English, and i am trying to learn spanish so they are very grateful and kind to me because of it.  I love latinos so much. Anytime something Good happens they said "Gracias a Dios" which just means "Thanks to God". They are the best. Ugh I love them so much. We listened to one member and just shared a scripture with her, and she cried. And then i cried. Mourning with those who mourn is one of my talents for sure ...

This week I got to celebrate my favorite holiday, El Día de los Muertos!!! There is something so incredibly loving about this Latin American holiday. Looking back, and celebrating our ancestors. Buying them gifts, thanking them for all they have done. It is so beautiful. We celebrated some of this at a authentic Mexican restaurant called "La Garnacha" and got to celebrate it with some wonderful members. Pan de Muerto is as good as it sounds by the way.  Living in Utah we get to meet tons of different cultures. Most of the people we meet are from Mexico, Venezuela, or Colombia. Columbians speak the slowest, so they are the only ones I can really understand. But I love them all. These people have the biggest hearts in the world.  We are teaching a family that just moved from Columbia, and are pretty catholic. But the day we met them, they let us into their house, gave us cake, and shared their believes about Christ. It was so beautiful. We have met with them 3 more times,...

Hey friends, it's me again  This week flew by and my memory is so bad soooo here are the highlights  1. My comp and I wanted Ramen, BUT THE MICROWAVE WAS BROKEN. So we thought to boil the water, BUT WE HAD NO POT! So... what did Hermana Barret decide to do? Put a PAN (like the kind where you put cookies on)... yeah a PAN! AND FILL THAT WITH WATER AND THEN PUT IT IN THE OVEN AND BOIL IT! It was the dumbest and most brilliant idea in the world  2. We went to zone conference... that was a good time  3. We are celebrating el dia de los muertos.... and it is as amazing as I thought it would be  4. For Halloween we just hung out as a zone and I played that one Hitler game and and and watched coco in Spanish.  It was amazing  5. The people we wished would come to church didn't:( and we didn't get to find people :( and it was just a hard worker mission wise, but the Lord knows put efforts. And when our efforts are concentrated to the Lord, we will always...
